Cotran KC96-Dual is developed based on the standard KC96 EPDM cold shrink tube, It aims to make sealing and weatherproofing more reliable and stable, and to improve the installation efficiency and performance. With the dual layers structure, built-in silicone tube, no need foam tape or other filling materials any more.

Installation Instruction

Step 1

 

1. Wrap the foam tape on the 1/2’’ cable to expand the application outline

2. Put jumper cable inside of the tube, before connectjumper to equipment

3. Arrow symbol will be direction of pulling strip, which usually should be downward

Step 2

 

1.Hold the tube, pull strip downward, and rolling, slowly by slowly
2.When pull the white strip till the plastic inner tube is horizontal alignment of the silicone rubber tube, hold cold shrink tube up and attached to bottom of connector on equipment, ensure the tube cover whole metal part of the connector.
3.Hold tube tightly to prevent tube moving, keep pulling strip downward, round and round, till all strip are out.

Step 3

1. Hold the foam tape part tightly, clench several times toaccelerate foam tape attached on cables, help EPDM tube shrinking.

COTRAN Cold shrink rubber end caps are usually used for environmentally seal and mechanically protect exposed cable ends using no tools, mastics or tapes. Cold shrink EPDM end caps are close-ended, tubular rubber tube that are factory expanded and loaded onto a removable core. When positioned over the end of a cable, or other cylindrical object, the core is removed to provide a reliable seal that protects your cable ends from environmental damage, like moisture, contamination and corrosion etc.
