Cotran KC96 is an open-ended cold shrink ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber sleeve, which is factory pre-expanded and assembled onto a removable core. The core is removed when the tube is position for installation over an in-line connection or termination lug. It provides a water proofing tight for terminations and joints.

Installation Instruction

Step 1

 

1. Wrap the foam tape on the 1/2’’ cable to expand the application outline

2. Put jumper cable inside of the tube, before connectjumper to equipment

3. Arrow symbol will be direction of pulling strip, which usually should be downward

Step 2

 

1. Hold the tube, pull stripdownward, and rolling,slowly by slowly

2. Whenpull the white strip till the plastic inner tube is horizontal alignment of the silicone rubber tube, hold cold shrink tube up and attached to bottom of connector on equipment, ensure the tube cover whole metal part of the connector.

3. Hold tube tightly to prevent tube moving, keep pulling strip downward, round and round, till all strip are out.

Step 3

1. Hold the foam tape part tightly, clench several times toaccelerate foam tape attached on cables, help EPDM tube shrinking.
