Cotran cold shrink terminations and joints are composed of a series of pre-expanded silicone tubes and necessary accessories. The core is removed after the tube is positioned for installation over an inline connection, or terminal lug, allowing the tube to shrink and provide a excellent waterproof seal and electrical insulation. COTRAN spacer tape is extruded into two crossed threads that can then divert liquids, leading to its wide usage for casting resin joints in different applications, such as Low- and Medium Voltage, Cable Accessories and 2-component epoxy or PUR Cast Resins. It is engineered to build up voids in odd shaped splices and assures full resin coverage and forms a liquid tight mold.
